Bio & Company Story:

Tara Cousineau, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and eHealth entrepreneur. She founded BodiMojo as an innovative solution to help teenagers take control of their health, leveraging the “digital” playgrounds they reside in. 

With seed funding via grants from the National Institutes of Health’s Small Business Innovative Research  program, she was able to gather an R&D team and create the web/mobile lifestyle platform, which engages teens through interactive tools and games, personalized feedback, goals setting, and motivational text messaging. 

Field research in  high schools showed that BodiMojo significantly improved body image attitudes for girls exposed to the program compared to those who were not. 

The main portal is available to teenagers, boys and girls, to inspire and support health habits in nutrition, fitness, body image, stress and more. A “body confidence” dashboard for girls is under construction given the fabulous results in the area of body image. Dr. Tara is also a mom of two teen girls who, along with their friends, continually inspire and validate the need for BodiMojo.

BodiMojo is in the launch stage of business seeking strategic partnerships with health, wellness and lifestyle companies.
